Played at Phuket’s 4,000-seat Saphan Hin Indoor Sports Complex, the match was Phuket’s final home match of their first season in the TFPL.

Scoring two goals for the Andaman Pearl early in the match was Brazilian winger and pivot, Jackson Santos, who scored his 30th and 31st goals of the season, making him the fourth best scorer in the TFPL.

Santos trails behind Si Saket’s Ramualodo Namorato (37 goals), Navy’s Jessada Chudet (32) and Samut Sakhon’s Natee Tusiri (32).

Three more goals were scored in the second half, two by Phuket in the 35th (Teerachit Jantamat) and 36th minutes (Marcos), and a consolation goal by the visitors’ Sumin Booncharoen in the 36th.

The win follows three previous home wins in the past two weeks, against Nonthaburi, Surat Thani and Prachin, as well as another away win to Samut Songkhram, bringing the winning streak to five.

Moving up into 5th place with 45 points from 15 wins, 13 losses and a goal difference of 10, Phuket United have two more matches remaining this season, to be played on the road, starting this coming Wednesday, against 4th place Bangkok (50 points), then following a two week break, will close the season against placed Highways Department.
