As part of a Phuket environment office campaign to raise awareness about pollution, and thus reduce it, officials are conducting appraisals of the island’s household item scrap yards, antique shops and  warehouses for old items .

So far, a total of 39 businesses on the island were targeted by the campaign  which aims to certify operators as “Green Antique Shop” or “Green Scrap Business”or in Thai, Raan Kai Kong Gao See Khieao ร้านขายของเก่าสีเขียว
