Siam University is the 5th largest Private university in Thailand. Founded in 1965 by late Dr. Narong Mongkhonvanit initially as an Engineering School, Siam Technical College, by 1973 it was formally established as a private institution of higher learning, expanding its diciplines to include marketing and business. By 1986, it was officially accredited as Siam Technical University, changing to its present name, Siam University by 1989.
Located on the western flank–Thonburi side–of the Chao Phraya river, Bangkok Metropolitan, the urban campus is about twenty minutes to the capital’s center.

In all, it consists of Ten Schools-Faculties including the Faculty of Engineering, Law, Liberal Arts, Nursing, Pharmacy, Business Administration, Communication Arts, and Science, as well as its Graduate School and International College, the latter two of which English language programs are concerned. Its Student body is estimated to be around 15,000 Thai and 300 International. Tuition for international students is reasonable.
